"Co-designing M-OHAT: Modified Oral Health Assessment Tool for aged care" at #IADR2025 in Barcelona.

We collaborated with staff, residents and family to co-design the M-OHAT which aims to identify oral health problems and facilitate timely referral to dental services in residential aged care.

We identified and categorised goals of frail older people living with moderate to severe chronic kidney disease.

Participants most frequently focused their goals on function, physical health, social engagement, and leisure.

A great consumer session at Health Translation Qld 5th National HREC Conference!

I presented with @dr-am-young.bsky.social and our consumer collaborators Anja Christoffersen and Mary Denver on the Australian Frailty Network's consumer collaboration and navigating challenges in ethics applications.

We used Q-methodology to explore what allied health services are most important to consumers and their expectations of these services in residential aged care.

Q-methodology is a mixed method using card sorting/ranking to identify viewpoints; the systematic study of subjectivity.
