A wild woodland habitat by the river Abbey (a Shannon tributary) in Limerick city centre, likely only there through 'neglect'.

Such places are both precious havens for wildlife and a balm for human souls. But to developers, they're just wasted space, and so are at constant risk. 🌎

Does starting climate convos with a familiar topic like sports or chocolate and including something people can do to make a difference reduce psychological distance & generate higher efficacy compared to starting with the risk of AMOC shutdown and ending with “we’re all going to die”?
