Just an #mbc girl looking for a good research and #bcsm community. I also teach piano, am a member of the lgbt+ community, play games, and have cats. Burn me at the stake, I guess.
Thank you for sharing information about breast density! I don’t think any of us were even familiar with it until after diagnosis. I’ve heard many stories similar to mine and, unfortunately, it’s an area where many doctors could use better education as well.

Ew, I’m sorry to hear that. I was on Lupron and Tamoxifen for a while and absolutely hated the side effects so I understand that endocrine therapy is no fun either. Hopefully the targeted pill will be more effective than IV chemo at killing off those rogue cells.

Congratulations!!! IV chemo sucks so that’s wonderful news that you can stick with endocrine therapy. Hopefully the side effects aren’t too awful

I’m an alumni from LBBC’s Hear my Voice advocacy training. I’m also a Metavivor peer to peer leader in my local community, although that’s just getting started.

Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I’m not aware of any conferences besides SABCS and LBBC’s annual conference in the Spring
November 22, 2024 at 6:22 PM
You’ve been added! Super happy to meet you. I won’t be at #SABCS this year but I’m really excited to see all the new research that’s talked about. Do you go every year with your nonprofit?

Omg no way 😮‍💨
November 22, 2024 at 2:44 AM
Sure I’ll add them. Their page looks pretty empty at the moment though, is that the right handle?
November 22, 2024 at 2:25 AM
Thank you, Dennis! Nice to meet you as well :)
November 22, 2024 at 2:24 AM
Yes, I have a local FB group and the peer to peer support group I mentioned. The FB group isn’t MBC specific but the peer group is
November 22, 2024 at 2:23 AM
Thank you! I do have a local metavivor peer to peer support group in the works right now ☺️
November 22, 2024 at 2:22 AM
Oh that is annoying. I’m sure you have a million pictures like me and sifting through them is such a chore!

It took forever to find a good pic of her!
November 21, 2024 at 4:14 PM
Oh wow, Kali looks exactly like my Chihiro!
November 21, 2024 at 3:57 PM
Ugh same haha
November 21, 2024 at 3:50 PM
I’d love it if you’d like to share though! I do check from time to time
November 21, 2024 at 3:49 PM
I’m in the US unfortunately. I do have some community on both apps, I just tend to struggle with my mental health on FB and Insta so I stay away
November 21, 2024 at 3:49 PM
Awwww I’d love to see Kali! That’s my baby Beau in the pic. He’s 8 months old now. I have two other kitties as well.
November 21, 2024 at 3:48 PM
Haha I do the same! I was obsessed with the breast oncology researchers when I was first diagnosed. It was the only thing that kept me sane for a while.

*haven’t rewatched it. Ugh the lack of editing sucks
