This week, 5 international students on F-1 had their visas revoked. In the past, students’ legal statuses in the United States were not immediately canceled due to a revoked visa. Under the new administration, in some cases, student statuses are being revoked within HOURS of the visa’s revocation.

Sure! A lot is based on @drsueishaq.bsky.social’s Microbes & Social Equity working group. It’s a Gen Ed class so lots of participation/discussion. Here’s what we do; I’ll link the bibliography I used for course development too. I’d love to know of other more recent studies! 🧵

My sweet Dad died today. He was a nurse for 43 years, a lifelong learner, and my greatest supporter next to my Ma. After a month of hospice this was a mercy. Fuck cancer. Hug your people & tell them you love them
