I'm not really surprised, but it's still shocking to see happening in real time. On the left, diagram developed by the Office of Biological and Environmental Research of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, and on the right, an unhinged webpage called DOE Explains...the Carbon Cycle 🧪🦠

The arrows have retained their approximate proportions to flux, but it's notable how many fewer arrows there are compared to the original diagram.

The funding cuts to science are obviously catastrophic, but this really illustrates how unfair research funding is in the first place 🧪

Our grade school physical education teacher, Mr. B, made it to the quarter finals for Americas Greatest Teacher! And of course he did, he got balance bikes for all kids! And this is just one of his classes!

This week, 5 international students on F-1 had their visas revoked. In the past, students’ legal statuses in the United States were not immediately canceled due to a revoked visa. Under the new administration, in some cases, student statuses are being revoked within HOURS of the visa’s revocation.

My sweet Dad died today. He was a nurse for 43 years, a lifelong learner, and my greatest supporter next to my Ma. After a month of hospice this was a mercy. Fuck cancer. Hug your people & tell them you love them
