I’ve been staying with my parents for a week now, helping my mom recover from an illness and giving my dad a chance to rest from caregiving. One major takeaway is that my mom feels like she’s disregarded now and seen as “just a number” at age 94. She’s not wrong, so I’m trying to correct that.
