Started this book today and 2 chapters in I can tell it’s gonna be a 5 star. From introduction: “This book is a story about a strong-arm robbery. It is about family and friends trying to recover what was stolen. It is the testimony, and the verdict that a jury of our peers has never heard.”

I’m 25% into Vicious Bonds by Shanora Williams and how the hell does this book only have 2200+ reviews on Goodreads?! That banter is constantly making me smile and kick my feet 🤭🤭 Like how are people crying at Target about that one poorly written book when THIS romantasy exists 🤔

Started a new audiobook 😌 if this ends up anything like Evil Eye by Etaf Rum then I’m ready for anger as I proceed with a 5 star rating 😐

The way I know that a historical fiction really hit for me is if I’m compelled to look up history the book covers.

A Council of Dolls did exactly that.

About: The damage inflicted by American boarding schools on Native Americans, generational trauma, cultural healing.
