Here are some puppy pictures to hopefully bring a bit of brightness to a shitty day.

My only must haves were a pretty dress, a pretty venue, and a *really* good photographer. I got the dress on eBay, we did the whole thing in Central Park, and we did it on a Tuesday, so the photographer was happy to squeeze in an inexpensive 2-hour shoot. Everything else was cheap and cheerful.

My local plant nursery had their garden walk today and it was just adorable.
Two little decorative signs on a post in a field point to a "Woodland Walk" and a "Fairy Walk" Two tiny Adirondack chairs -- one bright blue, one white -- sit in a small hollowed-out, moss-covered log in a forest. Next to the log are little two-dimensional pretend houses made of stiff board and painted bright, cheerful colours. One is blue and one is red. In the foreground are a bunch of newly sprouted, green, slightly cup-shaped plants.

Halifax is built on a steep-ass hill, and they have these monstrosities.

(We also used to have rickshaws, pulled by local college athletes mostly.)
A blue and green, enormous amphibious vehicle brings tourists around an old , but lovely city. You can see a beautiful cathedral in the background as well as other nice buildings. It's a sunny day, and there are a few other cars on the road, the drivers all of whom are hating the Harbour Hopper with every fiber of their being.

Your regular reminder that even reliably conservative, rural regions have large pockets of liberal and progressive voters ... and are worth fighting for.

She's Princess. She came with the name, so we decided not to change it.

Poor little girl was a street dog and pregnant with ten pups when they brought her in.

She fostered until the pups weaned and were all adopted out, including her runt, Potato. (He has macrophagia and has to eat upright.)

My dog, Princess, had a puppy they named Potato!
