If you're referring to the recent quotes from the Larian CEO, I, too, don't understand how someone can say they use AI for composition and exploring ideas so casually.

They haven't been blinded. They've been paid off by lobbyists to spin a yarn in their favor that copyright law is unclear and that it needs to be changed so A.I companies can advance and all that malarkey that they like to push.

Some people say that creators should license their work to A.I companies and that would be fair.
While it would be legal, why would any sane creative resort to such self sabotage?
You get some money, but then that model is competing with you and you can't put out as much output as it does.

I believe it has its place in research in a closed environment, but for the general public it should be flat out banned because it's doing only harm.
I don't see one useful application for it right now that doesn't come with at least two harmful ones.
It's also an environmental disaster.
