Does everyone deserve, for example, health care? Yes. Some people who believe this will then say: It is not politically possible to achieve this ideal, so we should ask, instead, for a more modest improvement. Now, we do not know whether the strategy of trying for a more modest goal will succeed. The only thing we can say for sure about that strategy is: It definitely will not achieve what its advocates believe is necessary. Its only guarantee is that it will fail. If you are going to pursue an uncertain outcome, you might as well pursue the uncertain outcome that you want, rather than one that will not give you what you want even if it succeeds.

Even though Dallas played better without Lucho – and hence without a true No. 10 – during the second half of the season, this is still a team that’s largely built to have a No. 10 as the creative engine. And this doesn't mean head coach Eric Quill has to scrap the very effective blueprint he hit on, of Logan Farringon partnering Petar Musa up top with flying wingbacks supporting them.

1. I’ve barely invested any time in listening to his albums. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in listening to this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.

Here's a good #ncpol story idea: ask legislators this question. What percentage of NC children do they think should be in public schools?Do they agree with the Heritage Foundation that we should be aiming to elimninate public schools?

We build safe communities with fully funded health care programs, substance use disorder treatment, and fully funded schools that give new generations the opportunities and resources they deserve.

I normally dislike dashboards, but this new @edtrust.bsky.social dashboard comparing the three federal education budget proposals (President, Senate, House) is fantastic.

It lays bare Republicans' continued efforts to target students of color and students from families with low incomes
