Four HK ex-lawmakers Jeremy Tam, Kwok Ka-ki, Claudia Mo & Gary Fan, of the 45 jailed for the democrat primary under the National Security Law, have been released from prison after serving full sentences. Cars drive them out & no one saw their faces.

Another activist wanted by Hong Kong Ted Hui said the law firm he works for in Adelaide received a "kidnap appeal" letter from HK. He said the address inside was unrelated to him, and the claim of "proceeds of crime" was false.

Although Wokingham is outside of London, many local residents are from Hong Kong, Ng said. Another local council may debate a similar motion soon.

New: Carmen Lau's MP Joshua Reynolds says "many Maidenhead residents immediately send this letter" to him upon receiving, as he stands with Lau, Tony Chung and others facing threats of violence and kidnapping.

He urges the Home Secretary to investigate the incident.

A Hong Kong government spokesperson told VOA it would not send anonymous letters.

"If any overseas individuals receive anonymous letters and need assistance, they can seek help from the local police."

A Mandarin-speaking woman at the Chinese embassy inquiry was suspected of taking pictures of reporters. When confronted, she denied it & said she would "only take photos of VOA & RFA journalists" - a very specific claim.

We were both watching online today so she didn't get any.

A Hong Kong football fan told me that, a HK01 report on the HK v Mauritius friendly tonight initially included a line saying fans applauded at the 47th minute - apparently responding to the democrat 47 case - but the line is now removed from the piece.
