Born and raised New Yorker who chose Canada in 1969, I am so proud to be Canadian. Two days ago we proudly hung our flag, the only one in the neighbourhood, yesterday another neighbour hung a flag. I hope my entire neighbourhood joins in!

Roberta Flack passed away today at 88 after suffering from the devastating disease of ALS. As a concert photographer for 40 years I was blessed to see her ‘live’ twice at the Barbados Jazz Festival. ‘First Time I Ever Saw Your Face is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. RIP Roberta. 🙏🏻💔
