I used to work for a large mining company. Whether you're opposed to mining or not, we did reclaim a lot of damaged land, even a wetlands area, with native species. Maga may destroy things but it is possible to put them back afterwards. We need some semblance of hope during difficult times.

Yes, many maga are abusers. Go check Facebook to see their nasty comments. One trolled me on bluesky making a mean comment in reference to domestic violence. I reported it. I don't feel sorry for any of them, even the nicer ones.

Yes, I'm Gen X but had older parents who grew up during the Great Depression. Fear was always present. My parents worked past retirement age even though it wasn't necessary.

I find remarks like, "your mother said you're not allowed to watch cartoons in the basement," childish & immature. Insults like don't win arguments. Tariffs are ridiculous. Smoot-Hawley never created jobs, it worsened unemployment & created a trade war. Tariffs are a load of nonsense.

FDR's early admiration for Mussolini ceased after he invaded Ethiopia. Then, FDR disagreed completely once Mussolini allied with Hitler. Furthermore, the man was executed by his own people in Como where the bodies were publicly displayed & spat upon by Italians. We don't need fascism in the U.S.
