But that seem unlikely anytime soon. Overall I would say for all the attention it has gathered it's not really that.... worth it?, it will be fine for an advanced UG course but that is pretty much it.

even a non religious non casteist point of view would invite upon the speaker rage and accusations of casteism.
I did find her works on Islamic Rule well a bit underwhelming. I would like a study on Islamic Ironoclasm and bigotry which isn't purely explained away via economics or "political real-"

A fine point of her scholarship was her interaction with Dharmashashtra she took a remarkably cordial and nuanced in it's presentation and analysis much different from the straight up condemnations of RS Sharma or DN Jha, even in My Alma Mater any mention of scholarship or study of Manusmiriti from-

Although I am still not sure what "expert in Shudra Genealogy" would entail or if that was even a domain considering thousands of groups characterized as Shudras.

There are certain exceptions though the chapter of Shudra status of Shivaji Maharaj made for a mildly intresting read, although again it's been a mainstream point of discourse in Left circle for years (vernacular writings, not much in English). So that was somewhat intresting.

Now I do understand that's it's not supposed to be an original research but a general book for introduction to Indian History but it found it completely unremarkable in its content and unoriginal in it's form and function, no new idea or perspective discussed which already isn't mainstream discourse
