My favorite presentation of the day though was by @ambra-prg.bsky.social on meta-analyses ... still thinking about her question of how big the problem should be for it to be a problem ...

Right that was the context. This from the paper I linked is brutal in putting the tacit knowlegde defense aside. Personal anecdote: I once took a genetics course, knew everything perfectly well in theory, but never was able to do any of the lab work in any decent way (very different world).

One of the best things about a sabbatical is just that bit more extra time to read things you otherwise would't, including things you see people randomly discuss in a conversation about who knows what. So, thanks @devezer.bsky.social for the ht because I really enjoyed reading this one!
