Reading this 2013 book – not much new at this point anymore – really makes me wonder which books I should be reading now rather than 10+ years from now ...

Right that was the context. This from the paper I linked is brutal in putting the tacit knowlegde defense aside. Personal anecdote: I once took a genetics course, knew everything perfectly well in theory, but never was able to do any of the lab work in any decent way (very different world).

One of the best things about a sabbatical is just that bit more extra time to read things you otherwise would't, including things you see people randomly discuss in a conversation about who knows what. So, thanks @devezer.bsky.social for the ht because I really enjoyed reading this one!
