Yea. It's rough because it would be amazing to be able to use the trademark more, especially with the rich history.

Unfortunately, last I heard, the person who has the trademark for the Metropolitans is very litigation-happy.
He sued the Kraken organization for the Winter Classic jerseys because they were similar to the original Metropolitan's jerseys.
