Conversely, if success every day is guaranteed, does that not calm a great many of these stormy waters?

No extra work for us, focus on our core responsibilities, honing expertise in teaching, making kids joyful and successful, all while reducing anxieties associated with failure.

No doubt there are issues this doesn't tackle head on: difficulties at home, bullying; schools are necessarily social spaces

But if we cannot guarantee a psychologically safe environment where every child knows they will learn and be successful every single day, does that not compound those issues?

Rather than our having to 'do more,' to bolt more on to the school's offer, we would get to focus on honing and refining the very thing that brought us into teaching: assuring children's academic success.
