I picked up this Ukrainian puzzle by Cartonic where you assemble strips of recycled cardboard into a 3D sculpture. I like that with the cobra I chose, if you look at just the right angle you can see right through it and it starts to disappear.

To clarify on Shane’s giggle comments about 80’s Pac-Man players like me becoming pill-popping ravers; I have NEVER smoked, vaped, done drugs, or drank alcohol, but I have eaten fire, done Hollywood stunts, befriended dangerous animals, & of course experimented with trippy tech.

Amazon has launched an invitation system. Want to buy a Switch 2? You need to “Request Invite” to do so. They warn “we won’t be able to grant all requests”. It’s not clear if this is for the launch, which seemed to sell out this morning, or for later resupply waves.

Best Buy’s queue system is now working with a ten minute countdown added. Again, this is just for regular shopping, Switch 2 preorders are at noon.

After a 30 min wait to access the Best Buy website, the Switch 2 section is empty because of course pre-orders start at noon (despite the “Preorder Now” button.

Did anyone visit a GameStop at midnight last night? The midnight launches will be for the June 5th launch, pre-orders start today in-store & online at noon EST. Having GameStop mention both at the same time during this madness..

20 min into the queue & it has crashed with Best Buy only suggesting you try and refresh later. Again, this is for regular shopping, let alone Switch 2 pre-orders

Best Buy’s website crashed due to Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders. They’ve had to use a queue & captcha system just for regular shopping alone.
