Upsetting when the price difference to the ASV is like 1kUSD. I’ve taken apart a S9 ASV and it has an alarm module, making it longer than the *PAPs, which it refuses to work without but it seemingly contains little more than a buzzer.

my _hunch_ about these machines (having used them) is that medical certification is a pain in the butt and the innards aren't very different and the iterations are mostly about aesthetics like removing the debug port by hiding it in the power connector

also very funny to have the "inspection instructions" there be:
1. look at the filter
2. bring forth the cable kraken!

The 10 and 9 models used a pretty normal looking mini DIN variant, without data. Looks like CAN bus was added explicitly to be able to treat these machines like cars, including an incredibly clunky breakout cable (page 14 here cdn.hjm.aws.inera.se/a2b3d930-5bf...
