Cyrus is just very, very optimistic.
He wants to believe the worst thing he ever fought didn't come to munch on his recruits.
I can respect that.
Although is very funny in retrospective. Like him trying to connect phenomena to anything but Tyranids is so endearing

It is quite fascinating how revolutionary (At the time) TES IV was, how TES V was pretty unmatched to what it does as well, but then they just decided to stop iterating on their ideas like they did before, or even took a few steps back in some aspects.

Adversaries and threats determine how heroes react - that is a basis of storytelling.
And frankly, there are not a lot of reactions towards a threat like Vecna, for better or worse.
So I will just praise show what it stuck to what it decided to do and will leave at that

Note that I don't rate the ending - just saying that with the kind of villain show made Vecna into there wasn't much room for an ending to begin with. Do you like that ending or not is another question, but it was pretty much set in stone back in S4.

There are a lot of ambiguous and murky situations in any conflict, especially considering if/when victorious side could have/should have stopped.
That is not the case with Bismarck, of all things lol .

Recently rewatched S1 with dad, and it did a great job of making characters "feel" mortal, which series lost overtime. It is fascinating really

I would say Orson Card is the only one for whom meme applies. I didn't deduce his IRL politics from books *at all*. Like, complete out of left field.
But this case is an outlier

I would have been hyped for Divinity if it had like... an ounce of gameplay.
They announced a game without telling even what genre it is, or its placement plot wise in the series. Kinda salty you can just have glitter in the eyes as a game announcement without actually showing game

At least EA doesn't seem to be involved? Saw only Lucasfilm and Arganaut studios logos, so it has at least that going on for.

Remembered a recent post from composer of OG PvZ, where she lamented how in currently available version, her dynamic music for missions doesn't work anymore and it just loops one variant (Only intense or only calm, for example).
You can't even plant vegetables in peace now

We just moved E3 hype from June to December, with some awards sprinkled on top.
It is weird

Wait... they look like Deus Ex protags with these coats! I cracked it!

I guess it Cyber samurai look, like Gray Fox/Raiden? A peculiar choice nonetheless

Seems like a few of Square plans didn't go as expected (Like Mobile division, considering how they released and closed games), so FF14 was able to pull a few resources its way.
Well, let's hope board doesn't get any other funny ideas. Again

Corporate are big and slow. It is hard to make them *react*. If anything, the fact that schedule budged at all due to Mare situation is a rare one

It didn't allow to bypass service completely (In most cases), but it did allow to start at higher rank.
This caused a lot of problems for officer corps later on, as well as general nobility power
December 4, 2025 at 5:18 PM
You can notice how martial prowess started to go into background for nobles and how it was harbinger for their downfall - for example, in Russia, nobles started bypassing parts of mandatory mil.service by enlisting children as *fetuses*. So they technically started serving while not even being born.

Are being "not about the money" is weirdly new notion - for centuries, wealth and rich patrons knew to pay their artists. Hell, they sometimes paid education in full to have an artist on active retinue.
"Poor artist" being romanticized is certainly weird.

When SM2 came out, it felt in a lot of ways as a callback to X360 era shooters.
And dreadnought appearance is imo the best example for that - big, grandiouse scripted event, in which *you* actually *do* next to nothing, but damn, it was such a sight

Historical crowd is one of biggest ones I miss since migrating from Moscow.

Whenever I see maps of Constantinople/Istanbul, I remember a Turkish detective show I saw once, where a owner of construction firm killed an archeologist because he found evidence of some untouched ruins at a future mall location. Owner screamed at the end "IT IS ISTANBUL. THERE ARE RUINS EVERYWHERE"

DnD and having a boring armor system, name a more iconic duo xD
Really, I think throughout decades, armor is probably the most kicked around feature. And for various reasons for each edition. It is fascinating
