U.S. Army Veteran Charles Rangel fought in the Korean War, where—wounded by shrapnel from a Chinese shell—he led his all-Black unit to safety from behind enemy lines at Kunu-ri.
He earned a Bronze Star for valor.

These are the patriotic soldiers of Company E, the 141st regiment 34th Infantry division. It was the only one that would enlist MX American soldiers. This is outside of the El Paso Museum of History (I take my boys there too). They fought bravely and died for democracy and freedom. #MemorialDay
