As someone with a cervical spinal cord injury, I really wish that movies and TV series would stop perpetuating the myth that breaking someone or somethings neck results in instant death. It only results in instant paralysis, and terror. Death comes from suffocation, which is slow.

I was pretty down after the election, so I got something to help. The shelter was extremely busy when I went, so I guess I wasn't the only person with the idea.
