Working on the yruly daunting task of reorganizing my sewing space. Pile #1 shown here is about to be sorted, placed in see thru containers then positioned on the oposing wall. Will I keep it all? Nope, my quilting group makes quilts for our regional children's hospital and they never have enough!

Sewing a hanging sleeve to attach to my quilt I entered in the Smoky Mountain Quilt show. Lots of firsts here. Do I want a ribbon? Nope, just to share the story for a family legacy.

Quilting is complete but required going to my sister-by-another mother's home to complete the final quarter with her machine. I am working on the label, and hope to have this one in the books by Thursday or Friday.

3 days ago I shared the top I am quilting for a wedding present, however not all is progressing as hoped. I had tension issues on machine #1 with chosen thread. Moved to machine #2 and quilting happily along until thread jam which had niw thrown off the timing. So back to #1, wish me luck!

Another owl pic. Rhis is an adult barred owl we also frequently spot on our greenway walks. He is a bit elusive, we don't see him every day, but when we do, joy!

Since all things meta are in dark mode for me today I thought I would share a quilt block for a soon to be completed door hanging. I have too little space between the storm door and the front door so have begun making hangings instead. Pleased with this one.

Over the weekend we were dismayed to see the great horned owl's nest had been blown out of the treetop. One was still thete. The second we watched fall lower and lower. Yesterday, he was gone. Saw him today in another tree in the same area, but much higher up. Hoping he makes it.
