3. Handheld fog machine - this is a new tool I recently got. I've used it twice and really like it!

Pros: can be concentrated, portable, there's a few different tools in the kit to change how the smoke behaves
Cons: a little pricey, hot

2. Party Fog Machine - I inherited this and bought a portable battery to take to shoots. It is very concentrated and powerful.

Pros: big effect
Cons: HEAVY!! A bit hard to control and not always defined smoke curls

1. Spray cans - not ideal if you want heavy effect, but adds interest. Spraying directly at a surface fills the space. Backlighting is good!

Pro: portable, no power needed
Cons: bit pricey (~15 / can), weak effect, need helper
