In fact, Canadian independence is a victim of US imperialism and has been traded away for an illusory economic “Free Trade” deal with the Bully. In short, Canadian citizens who want to forge a different path in the Middle East should focus on how the current moment offers huge possibilities.

If I agreed with everything that Andrew Weaver ever said ( I most certainly do not) I couldn’t bring myself to vote for him. He is unhinged and unpredictable and he has invalidated himself with his 1 man band routine which includes ideological cross-dressing beyond his inability to work with others.

Musk, a Canadian citizen, is currently a key part of the US government, a government which has stated its intent is to annex Canada. He's clearly giving aid and comfort to a hostile power. That's treason. He should be extradited, and if they refuse, revoke his citizenship.

It’s a bully - campaign meant to degrade us , weaken us, and destroy us. If Canada is “not really a country” than we dont exist. Like Palestinians and Ukrainians, we become“unpeoples” who are just in the way of American Exceptionalism (tm)

When you have an agreement between parties and only one party is following the agreement you don’t have a deal. Begging the USA to honour its word is a fool‘s errand. Trust is broken trust that was built over a long time. You can pretend it hasn’t happened. I can’t.

Please read closer. The first part of what he says is great. Then comes the terrible part. He thinks he can renegotiate another free trade deal with Trump. Delusional and unacceptable.

Read carefully. Ford is pusjing for a new NAFTA. That’s the Neville Chamberlain option, even worse. Is there a single Canadian out there so deluded that they would trust Trump in yet another deal? No NAFTA! We must immediately announce our withdrawal from the existing, fake free trade deal.

Respectfully, “They will show up” is not the agency we need. We must bring them out. If there was ever a time for Liberal/NDP electoral cooperation it’s now. Many decent and not very ideological Canadians have been rage-farmed to hate Trudeau on a very personal level.

I agree. He’s sinking like a stone. Once Carney wins the Leadership he will form a multi-partisan emergency cabinet. The NDP will not force an election . The parties will lay out their plans and we will vote in Oct. If the voter turnout is high, we can save our country . If it’s low…

The problem , of course is that Lankinen is too damn good to be a backup. He’s played himself into 4 million by 3 yr starter contract . Maybe we sign him and get a 2c for Demko.
