I work on projects in a regulated field which does not allow customers to be agile, i.e. prices and scope have to be kind of fixed up front. I can accept this reality, not everyone gets to be a cool kid being agile.

But the thing that was sold to me as Scrum in reality sadly is not something I can find useful or can agree to.

To view Scrum as a tool from a manager's perspective is sadly exactly the reason I dislike it as not-a-manager :/
