This arrives to an adult ear as random noises, voices, words which actually are being processed through complicated connections in what seems a staggered conversation at best.

I believe we’re seeing an unprecedented cultural/generational fluency, nuance, and awareness in teen culture. Via short film, this creates a vocal quality that now is added to a memetic vocabulary which, interestingly enough, blends elements of former fringe culture (such as drag) fluidly.

(e.g. vocal fry in the 2000’s, authentic vulnerability in the 2010’s, etc.) we are seeing something new in youth culture today. And I can’t help but agree.
