It would be better for Europe to say: "The only threat to Greenland's security is Trump's plans to illegally invade it. We're deploying troops and resources to defend against US aggression." I don't see how playing along with his bullshit pretext helps.

Sometime politics overrides principle and common sense, but I think everyone should say "There's no point talking to you about a new trade agreement when you're violating our current trade agreement (WTO, USMCA, etc.)"

I read you as saying "Other than the numerous factors that have cratered quality of life for many, things haven't changed that much. And people's quality of life is being cratered in most US cities." I don't disagree with that.

My point is: I don't think Seattle quality of life has deteriorated because I'm old and grumpy. Traffic is objectively much worse than 30 years ago. In the 1980s a maid could by a house north of Fremont (my aunt did this).
