That’s what drives me nuts- yes we do need o&g but given that it’s a non renewable resource, it just makes sense to also explore other resources and use those where we can. Becoming early leaders in a second energy space. I made good money in o&g AND other industries.

You would think- then you look at what Alberta is trying to do and realize some aspire to that level of corruption.

Alberta had (and still may have?) an opportunity to profit off oil while building opportunities & capacity for the new energy sources. They could have had the best of both because some oil production will continue to be needed for awhile. But refuse to consider it. Easier to be a “victim”l

In the past it made a lot of money, for the province, companies, and individuals. Like a lot of the right, they’re clinging to that past. Hoping for the next boom. Although from what I saw the booms kept getting smaller & shorter.

Looks like they purposefully chose a rural riding that won’t care who it is as long as they are a Con.

I’ve said elsewhere- if we pursue electoral reform it needs to somehow include all nations at the federal level in a way that matters. A way that increases visibility and influence.
