Sweet Smell of Success (1957). My forever and always favorite.

New Letterboxd favorites for #Noirvember.

What are your film noir essentials?

Watching Smoke Signal (1955).

This cast is *chef’s kiss*

Death Squad starts what looks to be a journey into the deep cuts in Mark Goddard’s filmography.

When I stumble on a cast list like this, I have no choice but to click on it.

Tubi is always there to deliver the craziness.

Revisiting a “teenage Kim” favorite for the first time in probably 15+ years.

Tubi bringing out some of my deep cuts.

Overheard on Tattletales tonight…

“What do you appreciate more in your wife? Her mind or her body”.

Luckily, it did not go as horribly wrong as it could have.

Now Watching:

I be eyeing a Whit Bissell deep dive.

Did I know that I needed John Gavin in The Virginian using a French accent that sounded like a cross between Maurice Chevalier and the French taunting in Monty Python?

I did not.

Then there’s co-starring with Vera Miles and using a location that I’d lay money was Bates Motel adjacent.

New favorites on Letterboxd because… who are we kidding. I was due.

Also a look see at the viewing for the week as I show myself a good time. Not pictured is “The Hard Ride” which I found a flipping delight.

In our next installment of “That Is Quite The Headline”.

My deep dive into women behind the camera in classic westerns continues.

One of my most recent (and favorite) classic TV Leo moments. Not realizing a baby Robert Redford was in an episode of The Virginian I was watching before it clicked in my brain instantaneously.

I might be stretching the “different” genres a bit, but I’m running with it.

William Smith: Chrome and Hot Leather, Invasion of the Bee Girls, Hell Comes to Frogtown and Laredo.

Stumbled onto Forrest Tucker in Gunsmoke.

How is this not an F-Troop crossover?

(She asks having watched 2 minutes of the episode so far, not knowing context).

Wagon Train writer Jean Holloway posed in an interesting shot with series actor Robert Horton.

I’ve been diving into research on Holloway’s work and am increasingly intrigued.

Now Watching.

I’m not sure I’m wowed here, but with David Tennant and Tom Ellis here, this film is tailor made for Kim circa 2015.
September 7, 2025 at 3:12 AM
Writer Kathleen Hite on-during her time on Gunsmoke.

From a July 28, 1963 article in "The Blade" entitled: The Lady is a Writer of Gunsmsoke scripts

We didn't deserve her.

The Clu Gulager deep dive continues.

“Maybe you wouldn’t have such a loose foot if I gave you a permanent limp…”

I have so many questions on how this writer feels about marriage based on this proposal.

My #LetterboxdFriday thus far and kids, I’m having a blast. #LastFourWatched.

Now Watching: The Brain from Planet Arous.

I may or may not be obsessed.
August 21, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Martin Milner AND Ed Nelson?!?

You’re speaking my language, movie.
August 20, 2025 at 8:41 PM
How is this Rudolph Valentino somehow the most lackluster part of this TV movie about Rudolph Valentino?

I wouldn’t think this Valentino film would be secretly about June Mathis… I mean, I’m not complaining, but color me surprised.

For those who might have missed the good news. We finally have Billy and Dom Eat the World in the US. (I stumbled onto it while trolling through Prime).

I may be just a bit biased, but this show gave me so much joy. Gentle, easy joy.

My #LastFourWatched. One of my most closely related batches in a while. YouTube views, all.
