But, it's more important to teach them properly, IMHO. Learn how to drink responsibly, not to vilify alcohol. Same as barring children from sugar all together. Most kids raised like that, I know, now have problems with their weight. They weren't able to regulate themselves and went over the top.

The idea is that the threshold becomes lower to alcoholic beverages if you get them acquainted with the taste. Same as vapes/e-cigarettes without nicotine, which aren't allowed for children. Which, kinda makes sense.

I seriously doubt that my son will not taste beer before the age of 18, though.

In the Netherlands, the ministry decided that there should be a "not below 18" sign on the non-alcoholic beers.

I think that's a good way to be responsible, but I would let a younger person taste it if they were 15 y.o. at least.
