If the court dismisses the case without prejudice, is there any argument that a new indictment, if sought, could relate back ot the date of the original "indictment" (since the statute of limitations is an issue here)?

Of course, it was a simple civil case in federal court that would never see the Supreme Court. But my point is - I want to see the DOJ / government suffer consequences for their behavior.

It makes me uneasy that Trump's DOJ can be this obstreperous and yet it is the judge who has to play it delicately. I remember a hearing when a lawyer showed up 10 minutes late (his assistant scheduled for 2pm instead of 1:30pm, he thought he was 20 minutes early), and the judge threatened jail.

The Dems should hire Al Franken to do the daily press conferences.
