Mage armor invocation, especially on a dex character, on a pact of the fiend could make a pretty sustainable Warlock. It also synergizes with Hex blade pretty well. It's viable, plus if you do a pulling eldritch blast, you could swipe and run. Doubly so with mobile feat.
