What a phase—lost my job amidst the USAID situation, the job market is struggling, and it feels like no one cares. This is one of the most challenging moments in my career. The world seems to be growing colder, and humanity feels more like an idea than a reality.

I'm still out of Job and it's been more than five months now. Imagine how hard things are turning into.

I'm here to pray to God, to give me a Job. This is a Holy Place where acceptance chances of prayer is 90%. It's been more than two months that I'm out of Job and it's getting harder day after day.

Thick, wild brushstrokes and chaotic colors twist a human form into raw emotion. Brutal, vulnerable, and electric — a visceral nod to de Kooning’s feral energy.

May God protect every mother from illness. Ameen.
My mom is not feeling good - please pray for her. She’s the only reason of my life - the only.

This gives me a ray of hope, that people at least get jobs at a point, Government is concerned and so are the people. At this part of the world nothing is moving in right direction. God help
I'm super nervous: Today I'm gonna sigh my contract and finally have a stable job.

As a janitor.

But fuck me if 25 years of continual economical crises and bullshit doesn't make excited for a job with clearly defined shifts, Monday to Friday schedule, for the public sector, with a stable payroll.✨

Hello @metrauxjulia.bsky.social, do you also work with individuals facing mental health challenges due to circumstances beyond their control? For instance, I was affected by the USAID aid termination under Trump’s policies, which cost me my job. Curious to know if your work addresses such cases.

I have a thing for old things—people, cars, buildings, traditions. They carry history, wisdom, and craftsmanship that modernity often lacks. In a fast-paced world, I find beauty in what endures. Call it old-school, but the past gives me a deeper, timeless perspective. #OldSoul @lincat13.bsky.social

Every passing day is a challenge, you either cope up with it or it copes up with you.

Simple!

I joined this platform hoping to be part of a strong community where we could share and discuss our miseries, grievances, and joys. However, everyone here seems too preoccupied with their own lives to engage with others. Like other social media platforms, this one has also been disappointing. No?

Despite the severe crash in the job market, people on the streets still talk in millions. This reminds me of the famous saying, “Finance is a state of mind; I have solved the whole situation.”

Turkish singer Turabi has released a song that is both humorous and deeply unsettling. Pay close attention to the lyrics—they’re highly misogynistic. #Turabi #Turkish

There comes a moment when you’re watching a film director’s interview on TV, and they say something that makes you pause, open Netflix, watch the movie, and then return to finish the interview. That has happened to me many time and so today #PikuMovie

Hello Iqra @cheema.bsky.social your insightful analysis in Paindoo: Punjabi as an Accent is a powerful contribution to language politics in postcolonial Pakistan. You unravel the complexities of Punjabi identity with depth and nuance. A thought-provoking and necessary work!

Every day, I wake up searching for jobs online, check my emails, send a few WhatsApp messages to friends, stay unshowered and drained, eat delicious food without tasting it, and sleep with a mind so cluttered with thoughts that sometimes it keeps me up all night.

Unemployment is an adventure—one that throws you into the unknown, pushes you to explore new paths, makes you vulnerable, forces you to listen to everyone, seek advice, and wake up each day wrapped in a storm of anxiety.

I left my stable job for a promising partnership in a consulting firm in Islamabad. We ran it for a year, but my partner dissolved it due to a lack of clients. I ended up jobless, while he remained indifferent—his own brother had been unemployed for three years, so my situation didn’t matter to him.

One of my cousins is living in America for years, is afraid that Trump may not kick him out of the country, coz he’s leading prayers in a Mosque. God what’s so much wrong with the new administration of US.

I still remember taking these buses to school and for other commutes in my village of KP, Pakistan. Truck art used to be the most incredible form of artistic expression—but not anymore. Now there’re so many other means to attract the passengers, gone are the days :-((
Khyber coach "Truck Art"
Many trucks and buses in Pakistan are highly customized and decorated by their owners. Truck art is a legacy from the days of the British Raj when bus companies decided to decorate their vehicles to attract more customers.
