Designer that delivers results.
It just looks like a v0 clone with a Figma wrapper.

From what I’ve seen in the screenshots, it feels a bit rushed. Like something they had to throw together ahead of the IPO to generate investor buzz. They could’ve created something unique and design-forward, like a designer’s version of Readymag. But this?

Instead of doubling down on their design roots, Figma seems to be broadening again. Which, to be fair, isn’t new they’ve loved experimenting with AI from early on. And that’s exciting. But honestly, I don’t even know how to define what Figma is anymore.

And a lot of people skipped Figma not because they wanted to ship faster but because Figma’s prototyping tools haven’t evolved. You often lose time rather than save it. If that wasn’t the case, tools like Rive, Jitter, and After Effects wouldn’t still be thriving.

I get the feeling they noticed how many users design in Figma only to jump straight into Framer to avoid wasting time prototyping. The catch? You still have to design.

On one hand, Figma no longer feels like “just” a design tool, and that shift might alienate core users. On the other hand, it blurs the line between design and development in a compelling way. You make something, and it just works.

But a few questions instantly pop up. Can we export the code freely? Will we be locked into Figma for hosting? Is it part of the current plans or another paid add-on? Considering Figma’s recent pricing... I’m skeptical they'll undercut platforms like v0, Lovable, or Bolt.

I’m just opening the lid here and curious what everyone else thinks.

Here’s my take: this is a bold move. Figma’s clearly stepping into the no-code ring to go head-to-head with Framer and Webflow, both of which already support Figma imports. So why not keep it all native?

Apparently, Figma is working on an AI-powered app builder that takes text prompts, Figma files, images, and more as input. It’s reportedly running on Claude Sonnet via Supabase.
