Seems EVIL to spend taxpayer $ making housing more UNAFFORDABLE during a housing & budget crisis!

SONC + S Oaks Homeowners Ass. + United Neighbors managed to kill all upzoning and TOC expansion in R-1 particularly in the Valley. Now, dense housing will only be allowed in existing multi-family zones and along "corridors" (i.e. loud polluted car sewers) to "buffer" and "cushion" single family ☠️

Bad title but article gives valuable reminder that older adults, particularly middle and working class and ppl of color are suffering from bad housing policy. Ie Boomers who did NOT benefit as much as white, older coastal #NIMBYs (like bad faith Livable California and United Neighbors groups).

Fighting NIMBYs is literally showing up to rooms of old people and trying to explain how they ruin the lives of other people with their selfishness. And then being chased out by a Karen who tells you that in fact there are no affordability requirements for density or rezoning in single-family areas
