Exactly. Since corporations are people, seems like it's just about time to start prosecuting "people" for preventable deaths due to insurance denials.

These men need to learn social cues. Women do not want unsolicited contact on the internet by strange men.

p.s. I've also hiked in other districts. I'd highly recommend them all, tbh, except for the Maze. Don't go there. It's incredibly remote, dangerous, and dry. I really only made it bc I was like 21, extremely fit, with a lifetime already of outdoor experience. Hike safe, hike again.

It was incredibly physically and mentally challenging, unbelievably gorgeous, and truly life changing. It's one of the highlights of my entire hiking and backpacking career.

then bailed to a mystical canyon, which is a story all on its own. After many adventures, mystical experiences, and misadventures, hot, dusty, and starving, we made it back to the town of Green River and collapsed in an air conditioned hotel room.

Once down there exploring, we'd drink from springs for a week or two, then come back up. This did not happen as planned; we couldn't find the route down. We first camped near a cliff and considered just rappelling (we had climbing gear). Instead we explored the area for a few days

Once we made it to the trailhead, we immediately saw Cleopatra's Throne, a gorgeous formation "nearby" (which is in fact QUITE far). Then we had to FIND the route, which was going to lead us down 1500' in elevation to the bottom of the Maze.

Then one had to drive through 50 miles of rough road/sand dunes to the ranger's station. Then, to the trailhead I was going to..another 20 miles of high clearance 4wd road. Rutted sandstone is a FUNK of a thing to attempt, and we faced many challenges, for sure.

I chose the Mazes district, which is about halfway down the western side of the park. it was 100+ miles across the top of the park and at least that much down to the entrance.

I planned a backpacking trip to the Canyonlands National Park in my early twenties. The Canyonlands is huge, like, almost unimaginably large. It's split into districts, with many access points around the perimeter.
