Records, beer & all the live music in Detroit and the Midwest
3rd, Atmosphere's Jestures.
While Slug & Ant have calmed a lot over the years into their middle aged midwestern dad era (I relate strongly to this), there's something to be said for still putting out consistently good music with 26 releases under your belt.

2nd, Dylan Earl's Level-Headed Even Smile.
Dylan's baritone could sing me just about anything and I'd be good with it. However, it's paired with his killer band and some rock solid songwriting to bring it to a whole 'nother level. This record rules.

Favorite releases from the past week. 1st up, Cole Chaney's In the Shadow of the Mountain. Been looking forward to this since hearing some of these songs live in Detroit last year. It's a fantastic amalgam of Appalachian tradition & 90's grunge. It's pretty damn great.
