But also all those that were part of the #Wageningen #Virology chairgroup, whether just for a short time as student, or longer and continuing a career in animal, insect or plant Virology have been given a spot on the annual Virology chairgroup picture, since the early 1960’s. How beautiful!

And to add some faces, our former chairholders, prof Thung, prof van der Want and prof Rob Goldbach, who passed away in 2009. Due to an endowment of his family, ever since we organize a bi-annual Rob Goldbach Lecture on various topics within Virology and new developments.

Always nice to remember our shared history of Virology, and the founding of one of the first, independent Virology chairgroups in the world: Late 1950’s in Wageningen, headed by prof Thung. I still so much like the motto to the lab entry and embrace “Between the four seas, we are all brothers”.
