A combination of Kahuna, my main OC, and Half-Corrupted Fusion Zamasu from the end of Dragon Ball Super’s Future Trunks Arc.

An OC owned by thecraftyzombie. They’re a pink quaker bird with a light blue and dark grey outfit combination. Their feathers are loose and free in the wind as their back faces the sky. An OC for azulgecko, of their OC Cove the Echidna. The earliest of my newest Battle-Style wave of art, this piece was the first to feature a proper background. With a dark brown torso with cream-colored highlight, dressed in a dark green and blue outfit, splashed against a golden wall, there’s a fresh combination of colors in every square inch. A piece for bunnidex, with it being a test for more interesting pose ideology. In a pose resembling battle stances from early Dragon Ball, a purple and cream rabbit stands in the middle of an arena. Pig rails flow behind, with a bright mint butterfly clip front and center on the bangs. The outfit is reflective of Mega Lopunny, with pink being a primary hue. The one that started it all. My sona Kahuna the Turtle Dove in one of my earliest attempts. A gracefully standing posture with a battle ready hand outstretched, holding a sharp card. Hair flows back with gentle glasses dotting his beak. Green and purple clothes make up his ensemble, with a fresh combing of hair to the side for style.

Good Morning Bluesky Sonic Community! Kom here, cooking up another battle piece for @realsparkstar.bsky.social to give them a taste of my full Battle styling. If this pushes past 100 likes, I’ll also throw in the rabbit design.
A silvery hedgehog Mobian design with Baggy pants, angular footwear, and a sharp biking jacket. Tufts of blue hair protrude from the forehead and yellow details can be seen coming off the spikes. The overall outfit uses a stark blue-red pattern with a high contrast.

The bird guy is Back in action. This is a piece for @azulgeck0.bsky.social and their birb OC Rainy. An excellent practice case for gradients and the Battle style.
Rainy, a Bird Mobian. They are a light blue color, with a dark green set of Bellbottom pants and a cropped shirt. The openings of the shirt and pants have a triangle pattern of blue and purple. Their hair flows behind them, a mix of yellows and blues with a few accent purple feathers.

Kahuna in his default outfit, with a soft, loose dress coat, a long flowy dress shirt, neat dress pants, thin glasses, and long flowing hair parted to the side. Kakyoin from Jojos would be a close fit for a more human build of the character. Kahuna in an alternate outfit, this time with a rather baggy, bulky feel. The hair is gar longer and generally messier, with bo glasses to be seen.

I wanted to finally tackle this design, and I was not let down. It was quite fun, especially since it was unlike any other OC I had drawn before.

I’ll try to leave some of my WIP sketches in the comments later for those curious.
A digital sketch of a Hybrid Bird/Tiger Oc named Autumn, done in the Sonic Battle Art Style. Many of the colors were slightly tweaked to reflect a brighter, more energetic tone, with the background featuring the menu style of the game. The overall design was simplified due to my personal lack of experience in more detailed anatomy, but I maintained as much as I could. Def one of my funnest experiences in doing this artstyle yet.

I present to you some of my best redesign work yet. All three of these birds are my earliest OCs, and now they’ve finally been given the treatment they deserve. My submission for this month’s #ciaoodeechallenge , “The Beach Episode”. Enjoy everyone.

Giving some extra representation for bird designs, my main sona Kahuna.

Been meaning to get some extra opinions on both the design and the story, with positives and negatives if you so wish.

This is the primary reference for my main sona, Kahuna the Turtle Dove. This is my first ever “Professional” ref sheet with three separate reference angles, a full suite of expression tests, props, color palette, and simple lore. Detailing the further story, Kahuna is a match-maker that tangles a bit too often in other’s affairs. He considers himself an expert on the subject of love and is utterly enamored with the concept. However, despite this, he himself can never seem to fall in love himself. He is known as an astounding writer and a somewhat competent artist. Between several best-selling romance novels and a somewhat successful manga line, his name is somewhat infamous. However, given his nomadic lifestyle, his name is all most know of him. Many consider him to be quite the refined individual from most glances, but a quick look at his behavior, posture, and mannerisms leave many to be off put by his peculiar aura. Whether jotting down something while watching from afar or trying to read one’s fate with his cards, there is never a dull moment with Kahuna around. His clothes reflect his mix of refinement and chaos, with a suit and coat combo with an unkempt feel, combined with wildly free and beautiful feathers. He’s also markedly tall, standing at 115cm. My favorite element is the iris lightening and the hair ruffling depending on emotions. Kahuna in is most defining pose and appearance. This embodies everything I want to reflect about him in a single image. From the flowing feel of his design, to the dynamic posture present. It gives weight and a sense of direction to his dance-like motion. All coupled with what I would consider to be his official, canonical signature. A complete alt outfit of Kahuna, fit with an altered persona. This is Kahuna without all the bombast and theatrics. However, he retains that artistic merit that so captures others all the while. Finally, my best digital depiction of Kahuna. While generally a man of peace, he strives to keep it by force if required. He slashes at foes with his cards in a swift, unpredictable, and graceful manner akin to a dance. Many seldom can land a hit on Kahuna, but that belies a very fragile build that is injured easily. Given most of his story, this is very seldom mentioned by most accounts. However, it is still a necessary element to write for him.

Decided to take my one really good piece and turn it into an Adventure-Style render. Very proud of the result, even without the shading added on. Will be taking lessons on that soon.

Kahuna the Turtle Dove done as close to the Adventure style as possible. In a flashy pose with a raised and lowered arm, elongated hair details, and simplified details, the design philosophy reflects this simpler era. The lines come close to the weighting style, with some awkward parts from learning. The outfit encompasses a long, untucked dress shirt, a green cropped dress coat, grey dress pants, and simple brown dress shoes. Thin blue frames adorn his face, with light blue lenses with minor reflection.
