Recorded in Chicago in 1955, featuring Willie Dixon (who wrote the tune) on bass and Robert Lockwood,Jr on guitar, Little Walter's "My Babe" became a standard and a classic almost instantly. And of course the harmonica straight rips

Popping in to recommend this Dino Buzzati short stories compilation - somewhere between Poe and Borges, that edge of fairytale/gothic, an unknowing strangeness, a fairly infinite field of mystery.

And to say fuck ICE, Trump, and basically every Republican whatsoever ✌🏽

I'm down in New Orleans for a couple weeks with my wife. Eating like eating is going out of style and like literally every band I run into is tight and inspiring!

Send any tips for food, culture and 78s

Not all weddings are an anxiety fest from behind the turntables! And contrary to alot of talk, it's not the "Bridezilla" that makes it so, it's usually the "Maid-of-honor-zilla" that is keyed up and annoying. Saturday's wedding party really flowed beautifully

Found a bunch of cool sides today including 3 Yolanda Bolotine in Ex/Ex+ playing Scriabine on Paraclete. Sound amazing and these are very rare #78rpm

The 1937 take of "Caravan" with Juan Tizol on trombone. Definitely my favorite version from all the others, tastefully serpentine-y, and a tune which Ellington would record many times in different contexts #78rpm
