Unconventional food combinations can be mindblowingly delicious. My girl threw the leftover stuffing into a soup we call raccoon potage and we're sitting here savouring it right now.

I use my Digitakt with the Sherman as well as the 909, also an awesome pairing. There's something to be said for super minimal rigs, isn't there?

Not what you would normally think of as a "synthesizer", but the TR-909 and the Sherman Filterbank playing together as a team is really bringing me a lot of techno joy at the moment.

Oh wow, that brings back memories. I loved AH!! So much good discussion there. Like I remember a whole ongoing back and forth about modifying the Roland 606 because we "could afford to kill it" at that point lol. Golden age for sure! 😂

It's an old OG Roland TB-303. 😊 I've had it for >25 years at this point; I got it for 200 bucks plus a SH-101 back in the 90's. Gigged it to hell and back and recently got it cleaned and serviced back to it's original shape. 😄

I feel that Behr*nger's design department has done an excellent job of actualizing the "shoddy Ferrari-inspired body kit on a Fiero" aesthetic in the synthesizer market.

😂😂 dude, it was pretty easy, she is tiny. I'm built like a jockey; not big at all and I looked like a giant lumbering monster next to her. She's really little. And sweet and gorgeous, ha!

I really wanted to love the RY30 when I had it. It sounded great and was so powerful, but that operating system, gah. I could never "get" it in the same way that I do the Roland X0X sequencing. Which is why I'm really into the Elektron boxes now.

Yeah - I just can't get rid of them; had them for over 20 years and driven them both pretty hard. Lots of memories and sentimentality tied up in those guys for me. I love the Boutique versions tho. They really capture the sound and spirit of the OGs. Super cool boxes!

Cheers man! And that collection of ROM cards is equally impressive; I've only been exposed to the rap/dance card for the RY30 - those cards are hard to come by. 👍

That is a serious rack going on, love it - especially that TG77 on the top. I use it's keyboard cousin, the SY77. Wicked sounding machines, and so deep.
