I’ve wanted to talk more about Taiwan’s transit but haven’t had the time. I still don’t so I am going to share content I see from Taiwanese sources.
Why is there so much interlining in this proposal? Just too difficult to untangle everything within this scope?

The currently-operating Loop Line’s Xiulang Bridge station already has space reserved for a transfer. The station on Roosevelt Road in Taipei would however be 250 meters away from the nearest existing station.

The line would be underground, headways at 5 minutes, and expected peak hourly ridership 4,640 to 7,140.

Though this wastes station radius on the Xindian River, Zhonghe is dense enough that this route could still plausibly get enough ridership. It’s worth pointing out that this is near where the infamous “waterfall of motorcycles” photo was taken.

The fully built Zhonghe-Guangfu line would link far eastern Zhonghe to Guangfu Rd. in eastern Taipei. The route in Zhonghe would be close to the river because Zhonghe has few wide, straight streets.
