Depression medication took the ability away. I've been off the meds for a few years, and it hasn't come back. It feels like amnesia; a big part of my past has been erased.
Has anyone else experienced this? My therapists don't know much about aphantasia.

I could spend an hour finding the perfect description for a blanket or eye color. It started in childhood, and some of my "books" were decades old. I was never bored and had hundreds of stories I could pick up at any time.
