i don't think any of the training scenes are strictly required. so long as kratos is in your team for the final dungeon, you'll meet everyone's favorite

seriously tho i really dislike that cutscene not in a "oh it makes me uncomfy :(" way like ye thats the point, i just believe it is counterrevolutionary propaganda which i find gravely offensive not to mention highly symptomatic of this game's ideological shortcomings BUT it also has This Alphen

gameplay-wise plot-wise chatacter-wise worldbuilding-wise noishe is criminally underutilized. he is too slow. and sometimes i forget he exists. it's like the game itself fears Noishe's power.... he is privvy to everyone's secrets yet remains silent.... Knowishe.... you deserved more screen time

by the point i met this guy in game i literally felt the exact same, and surely the writers knew that. sometimes i wonder if perhaps he's supposed to be an audience surrogate in that sense?

make no mistake, this game is still evil. the only reason i still have gers/yurts in my town is that i went out of my way not to upgrade them. beyond a certain level they become sedentary-style dwellings which is certainly. a choice that the devs made.
