When something doesn’t come out with new product enough or is just simply unpopular for whatever reason people will just call it dead when it’s absolutely subjective.
Look into any fandom that has had a refresh of some sort and its hated by someone who loves only classic’s.

Then because of what they had to face they didn’t just make monsters they made literally the 72 devils of hell. Barbatos is a military general of hell with a beard, they gave the mobile suit a beard in respect to make it that.

I find that its not that the machines are evil but what they did to give them power they have to be evil. That “deal with the devil” of ppl were sacrificed to stop everyone else from dying. Then those sacrifices aren’t evil but they became monsters that are evil creations doing good.
