There's no doubt it will. China's tourism contributed 0.28% to Japan's nominal GDP in 2024. By comparison, Taiwan contributed about 0.18%. Even if they lost all mainland Chinese tourism, they would be fine, and surely would make it up with tourism from other countries.

Elon isn't destroying it. His team and him are recommending changes to the president, who either approves or rejects them. The aciton is being taken by the executive branch.

So a sovereign nation shut it down because it was a foreign entity subverting their government? Crazy...

Sorry, I don't look at Germany and take it as good example of how things should be done...

Hopefully by the end of this administration, everyone in the nation will own guns.
February 3, 2025 at 5:45 PM
I love how this administration is waking up the Left to the second amendment. May it be that everyone arms themselves and learns how to shoot. Our nation will be forever better for it. Also please stop voting for people who want to restrict your access to firearms.
February 3, 2025 at 5:44 PM
Sure it would. This is a huge country. Our military has not had great results against small groups of insurgents. Absolutely a lot of people would die in such a true civil war, but it would also mean the collapse of the nation. There's no way for the US military to "win" against its own citizens.

Isn't it adorable, though? Like, whoever designed the icons is kind of awesome.

Do you realize that your posts on this site are publicly viewable and are monitored by law enforcement?

It helps when the President of the United States backs you.
February 3, 2025 at 5:09 PM
How would you propose they be held accountable?
February 3, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Looks like election denial is back on the menu, boys!
February 3, 2025 at 5:06 PM
You do realize that anyone can see your posts on this website, right? This is a dark path to go down and won't end well.
February 3, 2025 at 5:05 PM
I wonder if you realize that BlueSky is actively being monitored by law enforcement. Keep it up, bossman.

I read this twice and even looked up teh definition of coup d'etat again just to make sure I wasn't crazy ("a sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government; a coup."). How do you execute a coup in cooperation with the elected government? I think that's not the right word...

Thanks for the question. The way I understand it based on the Church's teachings is that although we are created in His image, we do not assume his nature in any way. God's nature is beyond our comprehension, but we can say that He is spirit and not limited to the created concepts of Man and Woman.

Colombia is far from an "ally," but that is likely the lesson he will take from the future tariffs that will be applied to Canada.
January 27, 2025 at 6:03 PM
Because there isn't one in reality and it's just wishful thinking.
January 27, 2025 at 6:02 PM
What is this, sir? Why would the Colombian president repost this?
January 27, 2025 at 6:01 PM
NYT absolutely hates Trump, but I think they just had to report the facts this time around...
January 27, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Sir, why did the Colombian president repost this?
January 27, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Just helping you get prepared for a dog!

He turned his own citizens away and barred them from returning. Making them go back to America in an uncomfortable plane only to eventually come right back anyway is pretty awful.

Primarily they voted to end the mass influx of illegal aliens into the country and to return those who are already in the country. This response seems consistent with that given the context.

No, Jesus was not a refugee... why would you wear that?
