When I went to sleep on Thursday, I assumed I'd wake up to take my usual Writing Center appointment. Instead, time conflated into an ephemeral daze. Once the wibbly-wobbly cleared, our Wylder Moon appeared.

First two weeks of being a PhD student in the bag! My mind feels like a chaotic splash page. Readings are abundant and having a second to compile my schedule for the term has proved an imaginary. Even still, I couldn't be happier to be in this space. Speaking of, here's a gratuitous office shot.

I was digging through my closet, procrastinating everything I needed to do before starting the first year of my PhD program, and what should I find other than the entire run of Walt Simonson's Thor . . . I do not remember how I came by these.
