Yeah you're probably right. I know amazon has like a $10 corn shucker/peeler that works like a vegetable peeler but for corn. It might be up your alley, reviews seem promising, but these days it can be hard to tell if they're legitimate.
OXO Good Grips Corn Peeler. Looks like a yellow vegetable peeler, but the teeth are adapted for shucking corn.

I ran upstairs to get this. I bought it years ago, and at the time genuinely thought Foghorn Leghorn was just milking an udder or something. It took me an embarassingly long time to realize the obvious.

One hell of a correction.
Correction from the New York Time Book Review, November 17, 2024. A picture caption with a review on Oct. 27 about "The Forbidden Garden," by Simon Parkin, using information from the publisher, misidentified two men in a photograph and misstated where it was taken. The image showed the Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler with an unidentified SS officer in Crimea. It did not show the British P.O.W. and botanist William Denton Venables with the SS officer and botanist Heinz Brücher at Lannach Castle in Austria.
