I see we are at the “Our executive authority (to violate citizens/residents constitutional rights) is being curtailed by the judiciary” stage of democratic decline.

The people you decry as “brunch liberals” are absolutely doing the work here in Chicago. Bike patrols, school patrols, documenters, 12 suburban moms arrested at Broadview detention facility today. These are the people we need to flood our neighborhoods to protect against federal agents.

Interesting that injunction does not specifically list pointing firearms at protestors etc, as Judge Ellis heard testimony of such incidents.

You can resist an unlawful arrest in Illinois: 720 ILCS 5/31-1(d) “A person shall not be subject to arrest for resisting arrest under this Section unless there is an underlying offense for which the person was initially subject to arrest.”

The “clash” framing is so journalistically lazy. Agents who repeatedly violate people’s constitutional rights are not clashing with them. Every day in Chicago for the last month agents show up and kidnap people, while neighbors who dare to bear witness are tackled & threatened with death or arrested

If you don’t threaten force: “I’m going to kick your ass,” it’s not impeding. Mind you, they don’t know that and don’t care. But they won’t be able to prove up the misdemeanor.

Force is an essential element of the crime. Long, 199 F.2d 717 (4th Cir. 1952). Whether the element of force, as required by the statute, is present in a particular case is a question of fact. The Long case indicates that a threat of force will satisfy the statute.

It’s a strange argument to make that from 1900 to 1928, all the immigrants were allegedly capable of “integrating” to Vance’s satisfaction, but immigrants now could not do the same. It’s almost if he’s leaving the fundamental tenant of his argument out of this explanation…..

At least there’s proof that the other 50% are knowingly violating Section 1357(a)(2) and fourth amendment protections on a daily basis. That demonstrated intent will be helpful in about 1,185 days.

Yeah, that’s a real sticking point. I always trained that at ~65-70%. Just heavy enough not to cheat the pull. And then slow/pause pulls at heavier weight so youre comfortable (relatively)staying loaded in positions 1-2.
That said only ever made it to 115% of BW. So weak-intermediate level here.

Important to determine what’s limiting the catch. (Flexibility? Upper back/shoulder strength? Bar path? Speed/timing into squat for catch?) Weakness or positioning through pull can cause bar path issues for example, despite being able to pull a lot off the ground. It’s one battle after another.
