Combine brains are systematically restructured and completely rewired for combat... Through all that cybernetic modification though, those spores could definitely alter and active something carnal in them, reopening those sex drive nodes even after the combine confiscated them...

Quite the cozy place... If you can tolerate the stench... Id be careful of any water creatures nesting and dragging down through the maze ducts, carried to the center of the gland and tuned into more sweat.

Maybe time works differently... 7 hours of sleep for Solaire turns to 7 weeks... Maybe it just becomes more livable and dare say comfortable than the horrors that wait in the Realms outside the foot...

Imagine the kind of toe beats and lint mites that live around the foot. Miles and miles of sights, smells, horrors and pleasures to find... It would seem inhospitable at first, but finding the right sweat glands to drink from and right toe funguses to eat would prove useful...
